Tories Threaten More Bus Cuts After Election

In 2016, Conservative-run Wiltshire Council revealed plans to cut up to 50% from the £5 million per year subsidy to bus companies in the county. Wiltshire Green Party was in the forefront of the successful campaign to reject these cuts, and the council promised that there would be no bus cuts before this year's council elections. One year later they have already broken that promise

Green Party Lords Reform Bill - What next?

The Green Party's House of Lords Reform Bill passed its second reading in the House of Lords on 4th February, but has no chance of making further progress in the immediate future, because government spokesman Lord Young indicated at the end of the debate that the government does not intend to give it any more time before the end of the parliamentary session in May.
